Electrochemical measurement of solubility product of metal oxides in liquid metals by coulometric titration of oxygen

چکیده

We propose a new electrochemical method for the measurement of solubility product oxide metal impurity, in liquid solvent that is less easily oxidized than impurity. When known amount oxygen continuously added into by coulometric titration, dissolved impurity reacts with oxygen, forming oxide. By measuring concentration during can be derived. From this product, using thermochemical data chemical species involved oxidation reaction, i.e. Sieverts’ constant and Gibbs free energy formation oxide, elemental metallic element derived as well. In work, we validate magnetite (Fe 3 O 4 ) molten lead-bismuth eutectic alloy (LBE), temperature range 723–826 K.
